Karpniki Castle is one of the three 19th century royal residences located in the Jelenia Góra Valley, belonging to the Hohenzollern family. You can feel and touch the rich history of this place within Karpniki Castle Hotel and Restaurant restored interiors. Historic rooms were renovated with particular attention to detail. Well preserved stucco, antique parquet flooring, 19th century wood panelling, Renaissance ceilings, polychromes, fireplaces, richly decorated chandeliers, original furniture and paintings create the unique atmosphere of the bygone epochs. Karpniki Castle is an extraordinary place for the Guests with high expectations, both for a longer stay and for a short business trip.
Karpniki Castle has 20 apartments and rooms altogether. The offer includes: 2 historic apartments, 2 apartments with a separate bedroom and a living room, 10 Junior Suite rooms and 6 standard rooms.
In addition, we offer our Guests the use of the wellness zone with Finnish and steam saunas, fitness room and massage room (offered by request).
Next to the Castle building there is a free car park for the Hotel and Restaurant Guests.
Karpniki Castle is located in the Jelenia Góra Valley in the south-western Poland, in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship. Location in a tri-border area (Poland, Germany and the Czech Republic) provides a perfect base to visit the region, famous for numerous monuments representing multicultural history, exceptional landscape and varied natural wonders.
The Jelenia Góra is surrounded by four mountain ranges: Karkonosze, Rudawy Janowickie, Kaczawskie Mountains and the Izery Mountains. Karpniki village is located in the Rudawy Janowickie Mountains, only 11 km from Jelenia Góra.

Standard rooms blend old world elegance with modern equipment and offer guests a superior level of comfort. The rooms are nicely decorated with the exposed ceiling beams which provide a feeling of cosiness. Individually designed bathrooms are equipped with showers or baths. The rooms are located on the 3rd floor of the Castle and are accessible through a fine historic staircase.
A special room within this category is the room in the tower. A secluded, quiet location is undoubtedly its chief asset. The room is partly accessible by means of an elevator.
Spacious Junior Suite type rooms consist of a relaxation area and a bedroom with a comfortable double bed. Individually designed bathrooms are equipped with showers.

A special room within this category is Princess Marianne`s Apartment, which in the 19th century was one of her private rooms. The room is decorated with wood panelling, which adds chic, old-world character and elegance to the room.
The Apartment is located directly above the main entrance to the Castle, and its windows are looking over the bridge and the castle ponds.
Suite type rooms consist of two separate rooms – a bedroom with a comfortable double bed and a living room. The rooms have a scenic view looking over the ponds and the nearby hills. Individually designed bathrooms are equipped with showers.
The Apartments are located on the 1st and 2nd floors of the Castle. They are partly accessible by means of an elevator and through a fine historic staircase.
A special room within this category is Prince Wilhelm`s Apartment, which in the 19th century was one of his private rooms. The exposed fragments of polychrome on one of the bedroom walls provide you with the feeling of a journey through time.
The Renaissance Apartment
A spacious historic apartment with a bathroom equipped with a bathtub and a shower is the hotel`s second biggest room.
The Apartment is divided into comfortable relaxation zones, and the interior of the bay window was turned into the study room.
Renaissance painted ceilings of the 16th century, fragments of polychrome, an arras, stylish furniture and carpets constitute the unique decoration of the room.
The room has a scenic view looking over the ponds and the nearby hills.
The Apartment is located on the ground floor, very easily accessible from the reception level.
The Royal Apartment
The Royal Apartment consists of two meticulously renovated historic rooms – the blue and the red ones, which during the reign of the royal Hohenzollern family functioned as the most important, representative rooms. It is the biggest hotel room whose unique decoration consists of stained-glass windows, chandeliers, ceilings embellished with gold stars, wood panelling of the 19th century and stylish furniture. The bedroom and living room windows are looking over the nearby hills and ponds. A spacious corridor, with bay windows looking over the inner courtyard, belongs to the Apartment as well. Individually designed bathroom is equipped with a bathtub.
These historic interiors were renovated with the unique precision and particular attention to detail, thus bringing the Guests great comfort and a feeling of a journey through time.

Their experience combined with searching for culinary innovations play an important role in creating dishes. In the Restaurant we serve Polish with elements of international cuisine dishes. Creative meals perfectly made with the best quality ingredients will provide the Guests with unforgettable culinary impressions. Carefully chosen selected wines complement the refined gastronomic offer.
The Restaurant is located on the ground floor of the Castle (the entrance from the inner ward) and consists of three enfiladed rooms, which provide the Guests with the feeling of privacy and comfort. The exceptional character of the Restaurant rooms is emphasized by the refined fabrics, stylish furniture and elegant tableware.
The restaurant`s rooms and the Club Lounges are the optimal place both for a big business meeting and for a face-to-face meeting.
We invite you to the restaurant to a business lunch at noon and to the hotel drink-bar or a cosy Club Lounge for dinner or supper with a glass of wine.
Two of the Club Lounges – Tapestry Room and The Library – are the places which can be reserved for exclusive use and according to your expectations.

At each time of the year Karkonosze Mountains are a very attractive place for the tourists, and a large network of walking routes with different difficulty levels enables the tourists to reach the top of Śnieżka overlooking the whole Jelenia Góra Valley.
Rudawy Janowickie and Sokole Mountains (Sokolik and Krzyżna Góra) with an extended network of walking routes.
Unique rock forms in the Sokole Mountains provide perfect rock climbing conditions (on request we can contact professional climbing instructors for you). The 19th century building Szwajcarka at the foot of Sokole Mountains
The building on the slope of Krzyżna Mountain was erected in 1823 and initially served as a hunting lodge. Presently it is a tourist shelter and a starting point to walks in the Sokole Mountains. Not far from Szwajcarka five tourist routes cross.
Extended network of cycling routes in Rudawy Janowickie Mountains
We highly recommend the route along the historic Linden-Tree Alley, which starts in front of Karpniki Castle. The alley will lead you to the next historic building, which was a former summer residence once belonging to the Royal Hohenzollern family.
Kolorowe Jeziorka (Colourful Lakelets)
One of the most interesting places in the Rudawski Landscape Park. One can admire yellow, purple, azure and green lakelets, which were formed in place of former mines. Distinctive colour of water is due to chemical compositionion of its banks and bottom.
Palaces and Gardens Valley with historic palaces, castles and landscape parks
The unique area within the Jelenia Góra Valley encompassing about 30 palace and park layouts well integrated into the natural landform features.
Jelenia Góra historic Old Town
Jelenia Góra market square with neo-classical Town Hall is surrounded by 55 burgher houses with completely preserved stretch of arcades, which is unique in the Lower Silesia. It is well worth your time to walk along the charming streets and to see the monuments located in the Old Town.
